How to delete your Alfred account and data

You have the right to request deletion of your account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to submit a deletion request, what data will be removed, and what may be retained for legal purposes.

How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of your Alfred account, please send an email to:

Subject: Account deletion request

Include: The email address you used to sign in (Google OAuth)

We will process your request and delete your account within 30 days.

Important: Active Subscriptions

If you have an active subscription, please cancel it via the platform where you subscribed (App Store or Google Play) before requesting account deletion. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

What Data Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Account profile — your email identifier and profile information
  • Events — events you created and your event data
  • Invites — invitations you sent or received
  • Comments and notes — any comments or notes you added to events
  • Preferences and settings — your app preferences and notification settings

What May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained for a limited period after account deletion:

  • Billing and transaction records — retained as required by law for tax and accounting purposes
  • Security and fraud prevention logs — retained briefly to prevent abuse and protect our users

This data is retained only as long as legally required and is not used for any other purpose.

What exactly gets deleted?

Your account profile, all events you created, invitations, comments, notes, and app preferences are permanently deleted. Any data you entered into Alfred will be removed from our systems.

What is retained and why?

We retain billing records (such as payment history) for legal and tax compliance, typically for up to 7 years as required by law. Security logs may be retained briefly (up to 90 days) to prevent fraud and abuse.

How long does deletion take?

We will process your deletion request within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.

How do you verify it's my account?

We verify deletion requests by matching the email address you provide with the email used to sign in to Alfred. Please send your request from the same email address you use to log in, or include that email address in your request.

What happens to shared event content?

If you created events that other users participated in, your personal data will be removed. However, the event itself may remain visible to other participants with your personal information anonymized or removed. Other users' data and contributions to shared events are not affected by your deletion request.
